Phantom of the Opera plays its final Las Vegas weekend at The Smith Center
The North American tour ends its Reynolds Hall run on Sunday, Nov. 1, then moves to Oklahoma City. The city's last sit-down Phantom closed in 2012.
The Phantom of the Opera plays its final Las Vegas performances this weekend at The Smith Center. The engagement, which began October 21 in Reynolds Hall, ends Sunday, November 1.
This is a tour stop ending, not a production closing. Isaiah Bailey plays the Phantom, Jordan Lee Gilbert plays Christine Daaé and Daniel Lopez plays Raoul, in Cameron Mackintosh's production of the staging that reopened in London in 2021 — Harold Prince's direction, Maria Björnson's designs, directed on tour by Seth Sklar-Heyn.
The tour travels next to Oklahoma City, November 4–15, then Tulsa, Kansas City and Dallas, December 16 to January 3. Nothing on its published itinerary brings it back to Las Vegas.
The city has seen this show stay longer. Phantom — The Las Vegas Spectacular ran at The Venetian from 2006 to 2012, nearly 2,700 performances in a purpose-built theatre, in a 95-minute version cut for the market. This weekend's production is the opposite model: the full staging, loaded in for twelve days. The Smith Center's Broadway series continues with Elf The Musical, November 24–29.
