Opened in 1965 at Lincoln Center and named for arts patron Vivian Beaumont. It is operated by Lincoln Center Theater and is the only Broadway house outside the Theater District. Contact was its longest-running production, and the house uses a thrust stage configuration unlike the proscenium format of the other Broadway theatres.
