Two Strangers (Carry a Cake Across New York) plays its final performance on Sunday, November 29, at the Longacre Theatre.
The two-person musical by Jim Barne and Kit Buchan, directed by Tim Jackson, opened November 20, 2025. Sam Tutty plays Dougal; Christiani Pitts plays Robin. At closing it will have played 21 previews and 428 performances, and it leaves with eight 2026 Tony Award nominations. A first national tour launches next year from Providence, Rhode Island.
The final month starts from a soft base: in the week ending October 25 the production played to 74.7% of capacity at the Longacre, third-lowest on Broadway that week, according to the Broadway League. Closing notices usually reverse that arithmetic — the audience that meant to get to a show has a deadline now, and it is November 29.
The cheapest legitimate way in remains the oldest one: in-person rush at the Longacre box office, $42, limit two per person, on sale when the box office opens. The show is also a frequent TKTS listing at up to 40% off, subject to same-day availability. The production record is here.
