A Few Good Men opens tonight at the Vivian Beaumont
Lincoln Center Theater's revival of Aaron Sorkin's courtroom drama, with Tom Blyth and Bradley Whitford, opens after a sold-out preview period. The limited run ends January 10.
A Few Good Men officially opens tonight, Thursday, October 29, at Lincoln Center Theater's Vivian Beaumont Theater. It is the play's first Broadway revival.
Aaron Sorkin wrote the courtroom drama; Michael Arden directs. Tom Blyth, in his Broadway debut, plays Lt. Daniel Kaffee, the Navy lawyer defending two Marines accused of murder. Bradley Whitford plays Col. Nathan Jessep — Whitford was in the original 1989 Broadway company, in the smaller role of Lt. Jack Ross. Krysta Rodriguez plays Lt. Cmdr. JoAnne Galloway. Previews began October 8.
The opening arrives with the house already full. In the week ending October 25, the last full week of previews, the production grossed $1,371,447 at 100% of capacity, with an average ticket of $155.42 — the highest weekly gross in the play's Broadway history, the 1989–90 original included.
The run is limited and ends January 10, 2027. Ten weeks remain, and the reviews that land tomorrow morning will set the price of what is left.
