The Old Globe in San Diego is accepting applications for Winter 2027 stage management apprenticeships. One apprentice will work on The Balusters from December 29, 2026 to February 4, 2027, and two apprentices will work on August Rush from February 12 to April 4, 2027. Apprentices work alongside AEA stage managers through the rehearsal process, including rehearsals, technical rehearsals, production meetings, and understudy rehearsals, with opportunities to observe show calling and backstage operations. The apprenticeship is a full-time commitment of five to six days a week, and candidates must be at least 18 at the start. Current enrollment in an academic program is not required, and apprentices are treated as company members with complimentary tickets and Balboa Park attraction access.
