Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles is building its overhire call list for the upcoming season and events, collecting resumes from technicians across all production departments: stage crew, carpentry and rigging, automation operation, scenic art, properties, wardrobe, hair and makeup, electrics, sound, and video. Overhire technicians join load-in and load-out teams, run backstage tracks during performances, operate lighting, sound, or video consoles, handle wardrobe and hair tracks including quick changes, and help maintain the theatre and production equipment throughout a run. The work is hourly and part-time, reporting to the Production Manager and department heads. Basic theatrical production knowledge is preferred but not required; candidates must live in the greater Los Angeles area.
