Arena Stage in Washington, DC seeks a full-time Casting Director/Artistic Producer. The role is Arena's casting director for all mainstage productions, readings, and workshops, owning the casting process: building character breakdowns and audition materials, running auditions, callbacks, and self-tape reviews, and maintaining relationships with agents, managers, casting offices, and artists. The position also serves as deputy to the Associate Artistic Director and secondary producer for productions, readings, and workshops, supporting season planning, new work development, and casting budgets. Candidates should be experienced theatre professionals with a strong understanding of casting, artistic producing, and theatrical union agreements including Actors' Equity Association and LORT contracts, plus excellent organizational and communication skills. Evening, weekend, and holiday work is required as production needs demand.
